Trapeze Bars are either free-standing or attach to a bed rail and help a person who is in bed to either turn over, change positions or pull up into a sitting position. Once seated, they can swivel around and maneuver themselves into a chair. There are different models appropriate for different weight capacities.
Trapeze Bars are engineered to aid people who need to change their position while in their bed, but don’t have the strength to do so without some help. In the same way, sometimes those who are mobility impaired want to transfer from the bed into a chair, but are not able to pull themselves up. This is where Trapeze Bars come into play. Individuals who are in bed can grab the bar and pull up to swivel into a different position or into a chair. Some Trapeze Bars are free-standing on the floor and others attach to the bed frame.
